TheCatherines – In My Heart

TheCatherines – In My Heart

The very talented indie-pop songwriter Heiko Schneider from Hamburg writes a lot of songs, and he writes them fast! The tricky thing here is it that doesn’t seem to diminish the quality of the music. So apart from not being able to keep up with the guy, you really don’t have an excuse to stop listening. The latest single In My Heart proves this once again. The song has a sultry late-night-New York-70s-series-soundtrack vibes. You can just see it: attractive girl with lipgloss overkill and massive sunglasses slides out of a yellow cab, shaking her flicky hair as her stiletto platforms hit the NY asphalt. But seriously, the song composition isn’t an easy one: it’s pure jazz! However, everything is so meticulously placed here that it just works as a whole. The brass parts (and the bass) are to die for, and Heiko‘s voice sounds raw and fragile at the same time, which makes it a very poignant and heart-warming affair.

I am not going to list the entire TheCatherines catalogue here, and most of our readers will already know that Heiko has more than one collab or contribution with Fadeawayradiate Music, but I will kindly ask you once again to support this mega talent over at Bandcamp:
