FadeAwayRadiate Update 5

I was very pleased to find a new Men I Trust release in my inbox this morning, especially since it didn’t let my hopes down, and because it promises some really great new material in the near future from them. A ray of sunlight much needed! Other than that, I selected some other new and notable songs to warm you on this very, very cold week: post-punk influences galore!

Unexpected new single from one of our all time favourite bands! “Tides” depicts us a better world, far away from the covid misery on this planet at the moment. Beautiful chords and lush arrangements and, of course, the ever-soothing vocals of our darling Emma. Beam me up guys!
Men I Trust – Tides:

Dreamy power shoegaze from Down Under!
Relay Tapes – Daylighter:

Kalbells is the project of singer Kalmia Traver (who also plays in Rubblebucket) created over the past few years, filled with the triumph of being cancer free. It’s hip jazz-funk from outerspace. Exactly what we want and need! New album to be expected on March 26th.
Kalbells – Pickle

Excellent third single from Melbourne indie-pop duo Blue Arcade, ‘darker’ material to follow later this year…
Blue Arcade – Love Is Pink:

TOLEDO is the dreampop/bedroompop/ indie project from Daniel Alvarez and Jordan Dunn-Pilz. Based out of Brooklyn, NYC. “Sunday Funday” is laidback track with a folky vibe and the most gorgeous chorus!
 Toledo – Sunday Funday:

Dramatic Shapes is brothers Theodore and Ronnie Appert exploring a shared nostalgia through string synths and drum machines. The result is postpunky, upbeat dream/bedroompop.
Dramatic Shapes – Unconscious Images:

Dreamy with a very overt 80s’postpunk core and 90’s shoegaze coating: “Sign of Sound” is a song about “trying to stay sane in increasingly weird times”. “Sign of Sound” is the second single of Swedish Specific Fruits debut EP “As Days Pass By””
Specific Fruit – Sign of Sound:

Hotline Syndrome is a London-based duo composed of the nocturnal producers sludg3f8ctory and CEO Dreams. It’s like the 80’s never went away 😉 For lovers of Drab Majesty and OMD.
 Hotline Syndrome Rights Are Wronged:
