I Won’t Change My Mind is the 2nd single from Norwegian retro indiepop outfit Remington Super 60‘s upcoming EP, which will be released in February 2021. Apparently, the subject matter of the EP’s songs, is of a personal nature and deals with the breakup between Remington Super 60‘s producer Christopher and singer Elisabeth, who still remain good friends and continue on their musical journey together. In 2020 Magnus Abelsen joined the team. The band is still a DIY/bedroompop project although the material is now being produced in Christopher‘s living room.
As most of us know by now, Remington Super 60 was founded by Christopher Schou in 1999 as a bedroom/DIY project, between 1999 and 2007 the band was very active on the indie scene with several albums and EPs released on various small labels. In July 2019 we introduced and featured the first fresh material from this cult band, and in the meantime they find themselves on the brink of releasing a second EP already. I Won’t Change My Mind still houses signature the vintage keys and sultry vocals a la Saint Etienne and Dubstar, but the groove and sparkly guitar chords make the new sound getting closer to that of contemporary mellow dreampop bands like Men I Trust, The Maria’s etc, which is never a bad thing.
