Hartlepool-based jangle pop band Mt. Misery have been evolving as a band since early 2019, and are one of the North East (UK) indie favourites. Their sound evidently draws from the likes of Chris Cohen, Real Estate, Teenage Fanclub and Big Star.
Mt. Misery self-released two EP’s (Memory and Mt. Misery ). Single “I Was Wrong” was released yesterday (December 1st) and is the second single taken from their upcoming debut album, the first being “The Dreaming Days Are Over“. “I Was Wrong” is an understated, wistful, jangly beauty with a slight west-coast vibe that makes us long for the days of non-corona summers.
