Based in the Twin Cities, Abe Anderson may be better known as the bassist of the Minneapolis-based band Niiice or occasionally seen playing guitar with indie/emo outfit Thank You, I’m Sorry. His first 2019 release, “Slacker” was Anderson‘s first attempt at a solo project in which he is self-producing and writing. Influenced by 90’s alternative rock/pop, the EP was a collection of demos from his previous band “Byllesby Brownwater“.
Since this debut EP last year, Anderson has released a handful of singles, from 80’s inspired grooves, to solo acoustic and slamming post rock sounds. He releases single “Love You More” today, which involves the sounds of 80’s new wave blended with modern indie sensibilities. The swirling jangle guitars, post-punky bassline, and dreamy hushed harmonies make it sit quite comfortably in the current dream/janglepop niche. Niiice!
